8-class introduction to aikido
Aikido is a traditional martial art from Japan. It focuses on self-defense, mindfulness, and personal growth. We offer a special 8-class beginners’ course three times per year (January, July, and September/October). However, you do not have to take the course to become a member! New students may start at any time. Contact us at 718-612-6334 or firstname.lastname@example.org to find out how.
The special beginners’ course (ages 16 and up) introduces new students to aikido’s techniques, principles, and philosophy. During the course, you’ll experience how aikido is more about controlling your body than doing things to other people, and how to begin connecting or reconnecting mind and body. The course introduces the practical, tactical aspects of aikido, as well as it’s esoteric practices, origins, and history.
Dates: July 2019
