8-Class Introduction to Aikido
NEXT SESSION STARTS October 2, 2019
Aikido is a traditional martial art from Japan. It focuses on self-defense, mindfulness, and personal growth. This special 8-class introductory course (ages 16 and up) introduces new students to aikido’s techniques, philosophy, and principles of movement and body awareness, as well as the art’s esoteric practices, origins, and history. During the course, students will experience how aikido is more about controlling your body than about doing things to other people, and how to begin connecting and reconnecting mind and body.
