Martial Arts for Kids (Ages 6+)

To injure an opponent is to injure yourself. To control aggression without inflicting injury is the Art of Peace.
— Morihei Ueshiba, aikido founder

Using aikido principles, techniques, and games, our youth aikido classes for ages 6 and older focus on developing self-defense skills, as well as coordination, concentration, and cooperation in a fun, safe, and non-competitive community. All classes are a taught by AOSB’s head instructor Josh Paul Sensei, a fifth-degree black belt with more than 20 year’s experience.

Youth classes are on offer 3 or more days per week (depending on the season.) Students may attend class as often as they wish, and are expected to attend at least twice per week. Students ages 13 and older may attend Youth and/or Adult classes with instructor permission.
